Question: What is the Golden rule?

Mother Mary’s answer:

“Love one another as I have loved you”

Meaning: In Christianity, The Golden rule is: “Do to others as you would have them do to you.” which is an application of the second commandment, “Love one another as you love your self.” However, during the Last Supper, Jesus revised this statement, and said: “ I give you a new commandment: love one another. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another.t” (John 13:34)

Question: In the statement You’ll never get to Heaven if you break My heart. Is it My heart (God’s heart) instead of my heart (a person’s heart)?

Mother Mary’s answer:

God’s heart
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

Question: How do we break God’s heart when we do not follow the Golden rule?

Mother Mary’s answer:

“If you love me, abide in Me”
1013

Meaning: This is a summary of two statements Jesus said during the last Supper:

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments (John 14:15), and

Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit on its own unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me will be thrown out like a branch and wither; people will gather them and throw them into a fire and they will be burned.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask for whatever you want and it will be done for you. By this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.

As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. (John 15:4-10)

Note: In other bible versions, the word abide is used rather than remain.

Then she ends her message with:

Don’t fool around – make it easy on yourself.

Mother Mary’s message and the lyrics of the song have a much deeper meaning. This is also a message about spiritual marriage, the importance of being faithful and devoted to Jesus and the role that Mother Mary plays. You will fully appreciate this message when you read the Chapter: Taking the Road Less Travelled.

Less Travelled. And , as an interesting twist. Make it easy on yourself is also the title of a song that was written by same writers of “You’ll never get to Heaven if your break my heart”. As Mother Mary says: It’s a medley.
